What’s a reasonable price to pay for hanging an interior door?
July 30th, 2008 | by door |JSpielfogel asked:
we’re having the house remodeled and as part of that we want 9 interior doors hung. Our painter quoted us $300 per door, including the door which I know only costs about $60 including hardware. $240 to remove the old door, and install and paint the new one seems high to me. Our local Lowes charges $174 for removal of old and installation of new, but no painting. What is a reasonable amount to pay for removal of the old door, installation and painting of the new door?
I would like to discourage any answerers from telling me I can do it myself. It’s actually not as easy as it looks, and I know my way around a set of tools. Plus, I simply don’t have the time. And $250 is not a reasonable price, it’s a ripoff. C’mon, give me some help here.

You can do it you self with some research and a few basic tools.Think of paying yourself $ 50 an hour.
No door should be hung without a fair trial.
