Knife to cut through the wooden door if the door is wooden and hollow?
I have no power-tools, and have NO idea how to work them…
So maybe I could puncture a hole in the door and saw-away with a knife, and then insert the cat door?

Yes, you can, but it will be tedious, slow work, and hard on your hands…

A knife will take too long and be too hard to control. Better to use a hand held short keyhole saw or a jab saw for drywall …mark the outline of the hole you need to cut and poke or drill a hole in each corner to start sawing in. A jigsaw would be ideal and not hard to use.

It is possible, but time consuming. Be sure to use a straight-edge and a very sharp knife (a disposable blade utility knife would be best). However the drywall push saws are very inexpensive
and will save a lot of time. Hollow core doors are normally torsion boxes with a honeycomb webbing inside, so you could encounter problems with your knife doing this.
If you decide to use a saw, I recommend you score the perimeter on both sides with a utility knife to help prevent splintering and chipping as you saw.

No. You are likely to cut yourself. A local handyman would be happy to come over and cut the hole for you. It really takes a saw, even on a hollow door.
