How do you replace the foam insulation between your outside door and the door jam?

My dog has a habit of scratching at the outside door and has scratched away some of the foam insuation between the door and the door jam. There is a thin layer of this foam looking stuff all around the door jam with a metal guard. It’s about an inch or so wide. Now that the weather is getting cooler, I am noticing a breeze comming through and would like to repair it so I don’t have extra heating costs.

as the previous person answered you can buy foam fall in a can or it’s call foam fill , but once you have done that buy a small sheet if perspex and cut to size and stick this where the dog scratched and at least it well save the door a bit also when you have filled with foam and do not go to mad at first as it expands let it dry and then you can sand down to a nice finish ready for painting , check that you can paint or change the colour of the perspex
